Spotify has released a feature to share music playback via Messages.
Spotify is adding new features that complement its Messages messaging system, allowing for more diverse ways to share music information.

The first feature is Listening Activity, which users can opt in to display information about the song they're currently listening to, or the last song they listened to, even when not actively using Spotify. Friends can see the song titles in Messages.

The second feature is Request to Jam, which allows users to request friends to join a listening session via Messages.

Both features are being rolled out to Spotify users in countries where Messages is supported, with full rollout expected by February.
