Elon Musk has commented on the agreement between Apple and Google to use the Gemini artificial intelligence model as the basis for Apple's AI services. Musk described it as an "unreasonable concentration of power," given that Google already owns Android and Chrome.
Musk's stance on this matter is perhaps not unexpected, as last year he sued Apple, alleging that Apple's collaboration with OpenAI on ChatGPT resulted in the Grok app not ranking highly on the App Store. Apple's decision to enter into an additional agreement with Google will undoubtedly have an indirect impact on xAI and Grok. What will happen next remains to be seen.
