Malaysia is the second country to ban the Grok AI app.
The Malaysian government has banned the AI app Grok, effective Sunday, making it the second country after Indonesia to do so. The reason given is the same: problems with its creation of inappropriate content and images, including images of women and child pornography.

Malaysian regulators said they had issued two warnings to X and xAI this month, requesting that the companies improve their systems for preventing inappropriate content and enhance their verification processes to comply with Malaysian law. X responded on both occasions that its current method of user reporting inappropriate content was insufficient for Malaysia's needs.

Indonesia also recently announced a ban on Grok.
