Apple has struck a deal with Google to bring Gemini to enhance the Siri assistant service on iPhone.
Apple has revealed a multi-year agreement with Google to leverage its Gemini AI technology and cloud products to enhance its AI services. After evaluation, Apple determined Google's technology was the most suitable. This AI model will run on both Apple devices and its private cloud.

Apple did not disclose details, value, or duration of the agreement, which had been previously reported.

Apple already has AI service partners: OpenAI via ChatGPT connectivity for Siri and Apple Intelligence. It is unclear whether this Apple-Google deal will impact future ChatGPT connectivity.

This agreement is an extension of the substantial annual payment Google makes to Apple for being the default search engine on iPhones.
