OpenAI launches ChatGPT Health, a separate chatbot that connects health data.
OpenAI has launched a new service, ChatGPT Health, where users can upload and connect health data, including data from various mental health apps, to inform their conversations with AI chatbots.

OpenAI states that health is a popular topic people discuss with ChatGPT. The development of ChatGPT Health includes an enhanced data protection process, ensuring everything is encrypted and private. This personal health data will be used to improve the chatbot's ability to answer user questions more accurately, through collaboration with medical professionals.

However, OpenAI emphasizes that ChatGPT Health is not a replacement for doctors, but rather a supportive assistant providing advice. The chatbot will not diagnose illnesses or provide medical treatment; it will only help answer health-related questions based on the user's information.

ChatGPT Health operates independently from other chatbots. Its data is not connected to other ChatGPT services, and user personal data will not be used to train the AI. Supported apps include Medical Records, Apple Health, Function, MyFitnessPal, Peloton, and Instacart for meal management.

Currently, ChatGPT Health is available to a limited group before expanding to a wider user base.
