TIME has named the "Architects of AI" group as its Person of the Year 2025.
TIME magazine announced its 2025 Person of the Year, this time a group of individuals collectively known as the Architects of AI. There are two cover designs. The first features the group who designed the AI alphabet, as the title suggests. The second shows prominent figures in the AI field seated together on a suspended steel beam, mimicking the photograph "Lunch atop a Skyscraper."

The eight individuals on the cover are: Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta; Lisa Su, CEO of AMD; Elon Musk, CEO of xAI; Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA; Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI; Demis Hassabis, CEO of DeepMind; Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic; and Fei-Fei Li, an AI researcher dubbed the "Queen of AI."

TIME stated that the past year has seen the fastest possible development of AI, creating numerous impacts and raising concerns about its uncertain future. The Person of the Year award is therefore given to all those involved in designing the future structure of AI.
