An insider source revealed today (December 29th) that Korean Air, South Korea's national airline, issued an internal statement this morning informing employees that KC&D, its in-flight catering and beverage supplier, had recently been targeted by hackers.

Korean Air stated that the attack resulted in the leak of personal data of Korean Air employees stored on KC&D's servers, including names and phone numbers.

The airline revealed that it became aware of the incident after being notified by KC&D, immediately implemented emergency security measures, and reported the case to the relevant authorities.

Furthermore, the airline has instructed employees to be vigilant against further potential damage and warned them to be cautious of suspicious messages or emails.
