iRobot has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy to restructure its debt with its manufacturers.
iRobot, the manufacturer of the Roomba robotic vacuum cleaner, has filed for bankruptcy protection and entered Chapter 11 restructuring. The company has agreed to a restructuring plan with creditors and manufacturers, collectively known as the Picea Group.

Previously, iRobot reported its quarterly earnings earlier this year, stating that the company faced a high risk of not being able to continue operations within 12 months due to consecutive quarterly losses and dwindling cash reserves.

Amazon had announced plans to acquire iRobot in 2022, but the deal was cancelled in 2024 due to a lack of approval from European Union regulators.
