Spotify has announced a major upgrade to its Lyrics feature, one of the platform’s most engaged tools. Three Major Updates for Music Lovers:

• Global Lyrics Translation: Previously tested in only 25 countries, the Translation feature is now rolling out worldwide for both Free and Premium users. Lyrics will automatically translate into the language set on the user's device, breaking down language barriers for international hits.

• Offline Lyrics Support: In a long-awaited update for travelers and commuters, lyrics can now be saved alongside downloaded tracks for Offline Listening. This feature is exclusive to Spotify Premium subscribers.

• Quick Lyrics Preview: A new UI element on the mobile app displays a single-line Lyrics Preview positioned between the album art and the playback controls. This allows users to catch the most iconic line of a song at a glance without opening the full lyrics view.

The growth of lyrics features reflects a shift in music listening habits. Users are no longer just "listening," but want to "engage" more. Studies show that songs with lyrics are 40% more likely to be shared on Instagram Stories or TikTok than songs without lyrics.
