NVIDIA Raises RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell Workstation Price to $16,000 Following Rapid Hikes

According to a report from VideoCardz, NVIDIA has quietly adjusted its official website pricing for the RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell Workstation Edition, pushing the MSRP up to $16,000.

This revision marks the second price increase in recent months, following a hike to $13,250 in June representing a 20% price increase in just two months. Originally launched in March 2025 at an initial price of $8,565, the workstation flagship has now nearly doubled in cost (+86.8%) in under a year and a half.

Why was NVIDIA able to raise prices so rapidly without decreasing demand? The RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell graphics cards are built with high-density VRAM (typically 48GB to 96GB depending on the processing power), making them the primary choice for enterprise engineers, research labs, and creative studios running large-scale language modeling (LLMs) and creative AI pipelines on-premise. Because dedicated H100/B200 server racks remain supply-limited and significantly more expensive, the Pro 6000 is the best-in-class local workstation option.

The Blackwell architecture utilizes advanced high-bandwidth memory protocols and TSMC packaging. As cloud providers purchase massive amounts of enterprise accelerators, workstation-grade GPUs face shortages, giving NVIDIA significant pricing power over its highly profitable enterprise inventory.

For businesses calculating ROI, the nearly 90% price increase in less than 18 months forced a shift in hardware purchasing strategies. Enterprise procurement teams are increasingly considering whether it's worthwhile to actually purchase $16,000 per workstation card. Alternatively, you can lease GPU instances on the cloud (such as AWS, Azure, or a dedicated cloud host) for short-term model and development workflow optimization.
