Google Drive on your Mac and PC Prepare to switch Backup and Sync from Google.

Google announced an upgrade program on the PC and Mac versions of Google Drive. A new application called Backup and Sync from Google.

The new program will include the ability to back up your photos to Google Photos by (currently requires the Desktop uploader separately).

Backup and Sync will be released on June 28th, users will need to download the program and install it. (There is no automatic update) and the G Suite, Google recommends that you should not upgrade. Until esque Drive File Stream is available.
