By Jason Colon, an AirPods user in Florida, found that one of his own AirPods flared and burned up while jogging. Prior to that, AirPods broke out of the plastic, with thermal damage and internal parts falling out.

Colon says he expects battery life. The Apple spokesman said it was aware and checked and will contact Colon as soon as the update.
