The bombing that rocked Caracas, Venezuela, may have involved the US military.

US media outlets such as CBS News and Fox News, citing unnamed US government officials, reported that US forces were involved in the incident. However, neither the White House nor the Pentagon has commented on the explosions or reports of aircraft flying over the city.

At least seven explosions were reported, along with low-altitude aircraft sightings around 2:00 AM local time in Caracas today.

On Sunday (Dec 28), the Chinese Ministry of Finance issued a statement outlining plans to expand targeted investments in high-priority sectors, including advanced manufacturing, technological innovation, and human capital development.

WTI oil closed down more than 2% as investors watched for an oversupply of oil and peace in Ukraine.
Although supply disruptions helped oil prices recover in recent days after plummeting to near their lowest levels in almost five years on December 16, prices are still on track for their sharpest yearly decline since 2020. Brent and WTI crude contracts have fallen 19% and 21%, respectively, this year as increased crude oil production raises concerns about an oversupply next year.

The International Energy Agency (IEA) December oil market report indicated that global oil inventories will exceed demand by 3.84 million barrels per day next year.

Venezuela: Second Tanker Seized Amid Invasion Threats
In the second seizure within weeks, U.S. forces have intercepted a tanker near Venezuela, marking a significant escalation in the massive American military buildup currently unfolding in the region.

Vanguard, a British maritime risk management firm, identified the vessel as the Panama-registered "Centuries." The tanker was reportedly intercepted east of Barbados in the Caribbean Sea.
