Palantir Q2 2026 Earnings Revenue Hits $1.93B as U.S. Commercial AI Business Surges 149%.
Palantir Reports Record Q2 2026 Earnings: Revenue Surges 93% to $1.93B Driven by Explosive U.S. Commercial AI Demand

Palantir Technologies has released its financial results for the second quarter of 2026, delivering record-breaking metrics propelled by accelerating enterprise adoption of its Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP).

Total revenue rose 93% year-over-year (and 19% sequentially) to $1.935 billion. Growth was overwhelmingly anchored by the U.S. market, where revenue jumped 115% year-over-year to $1.573 billion. Within the U.S. segment, U.S. Commercial revenue surged 149% to $764 million, while U.S. Government revenue climbed 90% to $809 million. GAAP net income reached $1.062 billion for the quarter.

Deal execution reached unprecedented velocity during Q2:

  • $1M+ Contracts: 220 deals closed

  • $5M+ Contracts: 98 deals closed

  • $10M+ Contracts: 73 deals closed

Total Contract Value (TCV) booked during the quarter expanded to $3.373 billion, with U.S. commercial bookings contributing $2.132 billion to that total.

Palantir CEO Alex Karp noted that the business continues to grow at an unprecedented trajectory, setting back-to-back quarterly records. Highlighting the scale of profitability, Karp observed that GAAP net income in Q2 alone surpassed Palantir's total annual revenue from prior years. Commenting on enterprise AI trends, Karp emphasized that corporate clients are fiercely prioritizing data sovereignty—seeking to build robust AI capabilities without surrendering proprietary data control to external frontier model providers a structural shift that directly advantages Palantir's architecture.

The reason Palantir outperforms traditional software vendors during the enterprise AI wave is that while model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) provide the underlying LLMs, organizations struggle to securely integrate these models into traditional operational workflows. Palantir's AIP acts as a "management layer," enabling organizations to directly connect raw operational data to AI agents without handing over sensitive intellectual property to third-party model developers.

Data sovereignty: Regulated industries (defense, healthcare, finance) are increasingly resisting multi-tenant cloud APIs due to data breach risks and compliance concerns. Palantir's architecture enables organizations to deploy AI workflows on-premises or within an independent private cloud, ensuring enterprise data remains fully controlled and segregated from external training datasets.

The exponential 149% growth in US commercial revenue is largely attributed to Palantir's AIP Bootcamps, rather than relying on traditional, months-long sales cycles. These interactive sessions enable enterprise engineers to build functional, production-ready AI prototypes using their own real-world datasets within 1 to 5 days, significantly reducing contract conversion times and accelerating deal closing.
