Singapore CPF Enhances Security "Trusted Contacts" and "Safety Switch" to Combat Scams

The Central Provident Fund Board (CPF), Singapore social security organization, has introduced robust security measures to protect citizens’ savings from an increasing wave of sophisticated scams and call-center syndicates.

The "Trusted Contacts" Feature

CPF members can now nominate up to two Trusted Contacts individuals such as close family members or trusted friends. These contacts will serve as a second line of defense:

Singapore adjust the Internet service providers, $150 000 installed base Internet customers too slow.


Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) oversees corporate communications fined Netlink Trust (NLT), amounting to 150,000 Singapore dollars. Because the company installed internet during the 2016-2017 year at too slow.

IMDA set to install Internet based home must be completed within three days after the customer requested at least 98% and must be installed to all customers within seven days. But NLT can be installed within three days only 91.54 - 94.83%.

ITU rankings and the availability of national Cybersecurity


International Telecommunication Union (ITU) under UN authority. Explore the availability of different countries That deal with global problems cybersecurity much by rating issues. Then Indexed Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI).

The score is divided into 5 categories (legal) (technical) (organizational) (capacity building) and the (cooperation).

The countries that have the highest score, 5 is the first Singapore (0.92 from full 1 points), followed by the United States (0.91), Malaysia (0.89), Oman (0.87), Estonia (0.84).
